Boston Marathon: A Reviving Race will Begin Today
About more than thousands of marathon runners are to be expected this year at Boston where the security has been kept extraordinary due to the tragedy last year.
About 3 people were killed and 260 runners, along with the standing spectators were injured as two bombs took off just near the marathon’s finishing line.
But the attack has not discouraged the racers from Monday's happening. Just more than normal – about 36,000 will start crossing the numbers of 9,000 last year.
An approximately half-a-million observers are to be expected in the epic Boston Race. This year, the security policy will be a challenging one for the runners as well as for the spectators, as they will be ordained to follow the instructions and rules accordingly. Rug sacks have been completely banned by the law enforcing authorities, only visible plastic bags and shoppers will be allowed.
The 26.2 mile long route defense has involved an enormous patrolling of regulation enforcement managing teams; these include the local police department, the SWAT special ops called from other major cities and most importantly, the bomb defusing squad due to any risk to security-breach-threat.
About eight-thousand fencing-barriers have been installed in various checkpoints and racing turns by the Boston’s Police Department.
The racers along with their family members and relatives, that are going to take part in today’s marathon posed at the finishing line while taking pictures showing their confidence in the law enforcing agencies and their full motivation to participate and be there as a racer or a spectator.
